Hello everyone! My name is Tajha Winkle. I'm a recent graduate of a BFA in Animation program and since then i've been freelance illustrating and 2D animating. I have experience in illustrating and animating for children's media. I've won an award for my fiction writing and had my student film screened at 2 film festivals. My main focus this year is writing and storyboarding an animated short as well as making new connections and applying what I learned from them to my work. Hiya Taja and welcome. I write children's stories and am in the process of converting two of them into animated feature screenplays. I got the illustrations from freelancers on Fiverr. One of them is 'okay' the other is 'dreadful.' The 'dreadful' one - properly illustrated/animated, could make a great short (I think). If you'd like to take a look let me know.

Storyboards are so powerful, in Patton Oswalt's great book Zombie Spaceship Wasteland he mentions how so many young people enjoyed immersion in comic books reading what are essentially storyboards,
and it speaks to the immense influence graphic novels have obviously brought to the recent film industry zeitgeist, even down to the tone of such stories and properties.
I'm just starting work on a new pitch deck for a project and very excited about the composition, color, visual dynamics and momentum that will hopefully emerge to convey the story to industry readers through the visual lexicon!
