Seeking DP with Alexa or Amira camera package only. No RED camera or prosumer camera, no Canon or Sony cameras please. Family feature film called DragonFly. There is pay, but this is an independent feature film. Seeking someone more interested in the passion of the project rather than the salary. We have had films released by the major studios including Paramount and Universal, as well as films streamed on Netflix and Amazon.

Hey Bryan, this is Shellie from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Cinematography to Your Stage, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

@Bryan Hope you soon get DOP you specifically need. I am learning about cameras currently and wanted to ask is there a reason you asked for a certain one?

Thanks for asking Debbie, I wrote Filmmaking for Dummies and I do a lot of research on cameras, but the most important thing is "how does the footage look." The Alexa, including the Alexa Amira is really the only camera the studios use because it comes the closest to giving the look of nostalgic film. Even Steven Spielberg prefers to still shoot film. I can always tell when someone shoots on a RED camera (most low budget or new filmmakers) and it has a look that is too clean and is very video looking to most people.
