Hello all!
I have a very general question.
When it comes to a rookie screenwriter, is it typical for them to only make the amount that was paid for the rights to the script or do they usually request a low percentage of the net gross as well?

They will tell you what they are willing to pay you for the screenplay and that probably wouldn't include any points on the gross.
Does this mean things are moving forward with the production company/film finance group requesting your script?
