Morning everyone from, for the first time in a while, sunny England! I've taken part in a few Intro Weekends and I hope with each post my confidence is growing and I feel less like an outsider trying to get in.
I'm a screenwriter and author with no major elements under my belt and only a few smaller awards for the thins I write. I'm slightly chaotic in terms of genre as I write across a variety both in book and screenplay format. I'm an autistic writer who has the ambition to be something of an inspiration to future neurodiverse generations and do my part to showcase the strength and creativity my own "brand" of autism brings me.
Outside of writing I work full-time (not related in any way to the film or writing industry), have a family of three (of which my two youngest are also ASD with my daughter going through her diagnosis at the moment). I am ana dovcate for neurodiversity and in my spare time give inspirational/motivational talks about my journey and achievements over the years.
In the end I'm just me...the quirky Brit with an overactive imagination and lives in the dreams of making something of them one day. On Stage 32 I've done a number of Pitches with mostly PASSES and some hugely positive feedback, I have one REQUEST which I'm hoping will lead to somemthing but who knows.
Anyway, that's me :)

Tobey Alexander hello Tobey. Congratulations for getting that Request, that’s wonderful news. Can you tell us more about the project?

Geoff Hall thank you - sure, the pitch was for a TV Pilot called "The Raven" a supernatural hero series focussing on a world where demons are able to lurk in the shadows and feed off living souls for their survival. It's set in both modern adn Gothic Victorian London and explores the idea that the protagonist is workign as Death's Hand, protecting us from evils we would not normally see. Think of it along the lines of Moon Knight, Constantine and Hellboy and you'll not be far off. It's a passion project that's taken me 25 years to find a home and I wanted to push myself to mix genres with supernatural and superheroes into something gothic and gritty.
Keeping my fingers crossed it comes to fruition.

Phil Stubbs that is so true! Even if it comes to nothing it tells me I'm not entirely completely terrible :)

Keep us posted on your request - that's amazing.... I've done a few pitches here.. no recommends but good feedback. That's amazing re: your request and the fact that you can continue to create with 3 children (in addition to some of the challenges you mentioned) and working full-time. Keep going :)

Thank you everyone, like others have said, even with the PASSES I've taken a lt from the feedback. The more I do, the more I see there are themes that can be adapted and others that are simply down to perosnal taste around pitch formats etc. The fact I got a REQUEST was perfectly timed as I was fast approaching the "should I even bother" phase that we all hit every few months or so :)
