Hello everybody. I recently published my first horror short film: Smoking Kills. The movie explores deep themes such as addiction, discipline and inner strenght while relying on a strong plot and cinematography, instead of cheap jumpscares.
I would love to get feedback from the professionals; you can check it out here:

Congratulations on making your first short film, Milo Barbavara!!!
I’m not a professional director (or any kind of director), but here’s my feedback as a short film fan and Horror movie fan:
I like the opening (the graveyard scene). It reminds me of the scene in NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (“They're coming to get you, Barbara”).
My favorite scene is 3:19-4:33. Scary scene! Red might be a better choice to show danger, but orange works too.
You definitely set the Horror tone with the music. The shots and scenes made me feel uneasy, which is great for a Horror movie!
I think the audio needs a smoother transition at 0:44-0:46 of the film.
The audio in the second from last scene (the graveyard scene) is distracting. It sounds like the mic is hitting up against something.
Unique concept. And the film explores deep themes in an entertaining way.
I think you did a great job on your first short film. Looking forward to more of your films.
