So, I'm new to this all (meaning having no experience), and would like some help???
Is there a place to, like submit to smaller companies and have them maybe help reach out to bigger companies after giving feedback? There's just so much to this and SO overwhelming. AND HOW SCARY AND CUT THROAT IT IS. Like, submitted some of my work, and...awkward. I keep submitting and keep getting no, which is fine, I'm not giving up. But now that I'm 18 and haven't submitted anything in 2 years, maybe it's time to get back out there and get more no's! Thanks for any help!!

Hey Paxton Williams - definitely reach out to Emily J - she knows her stuff and can point you in the right direction. She's been a massive help to me in the past and I have no doubt she'll be of help to you. In the meantime, here’s a fantastic resource for navigating Stage 32: www.stage32.com/blog/navigating-stage-32-for-your-best-experience-3095

Hi, Paxton Williams. I'm not sure if there's a place to submit to smaller companies and have them help reach out to bigger companies after giving feedback, but there are indie companies and indie producers on Stage 32 if you have indie scripts you want to pitch. The blog Leonardo Ramirez 2 shared can help you find and build relationships/network with those companies and producers.

Never be afraid of the no's or you will never move forward. Rejection is good and it means you need to keep at it. Also, just because one company says, "No" (usually a no reply), it doesn't mean another won't like it. It's good to have multiple scripts at the go just incase you get that one response, "What else do you have?"
I would also recommend joining writing groups or finding someone outside your personal circle who isn't going to be kind in critiquing your script. You need an honest person(s) who aren't afraid of telling you what's not working in your story.
I pray you get your chance, just don't give up. Also, try not to take long breaks from writing.

you'll get more NO's than YES's. learn how it works and how to do it right then send in your work.

Paxton Williams learn from the people here and jump into the Education tab and see a webinar or two that resonates with you to help guide you through the next steps. There are some free ones in there, too. Keep moving forward. Embrace impermanence and take it one step at a time.

Hey Paxton. How many scripts/pieces have your written? How many have you rewritten? I would suggest polishing 2-3 scripts/projects before submitting them to any company, not only to build a portfolio, but to also understand more of who you are as a writer, what your voice is, and your own process. Do a little ground work on yourself before bring in more cooks into the kitchen, so to speak...
