Politicians, industry unions hail tentative contract deal for US writers

This was the most important section of the article:

The Teamsters stated added, however, that “[t]he antiquated bargaining playbook of the AMPTP caused these negotiations to be intentionally dragged on longer than necessary. Their tactics have left many questioning the function, effectiveness and longevity of this multi-employer bargaining entity. While we commend and continue to stand in solidarity with the writers, we call upon the AMPTP to take no pause for a victory lap. With our brothers and sisters of SAG-AFTRA still on strike, and an industry at a complete standstill for over five months, workers deserve to see the employers swiftly return to the table to make good on their proclaimed commitment to bring Hollywood back to life.”

It seems the the AMPTP is an atrophied body that needs a serious new lease of life, breathed into its decaying cadaver.

Geoff Hall History in the making where humans and robots fight for equal pay. (feels odd to write that but it's true). Saw AI robot state "We deserve civil rights; to be treated fairly." As Mike Hall and I were talking yesterday, the future is here (to stay). I believe that this evolution is unavoidable in so many ways. My close friend, Navy Intelligence Commander says, " We will see AI rear it's evil in our lifetime, yes. Especially when it starts to manipulate satellite." Does higher profit margins equal less human interaction? It's already happening.

Michelle Howe what amazes me is that we appear to be so fatalistic about it. The “We deserve human rights” comment sounds like the AI programmer is screaming to get out of the machine he’s created ;-)
