Let's talk about working with writers, scripts, actors and performance.

I am Mark W. Travis, longtime member of Stage 32, but also longtime absent. I am a director, teacher, coach and consultant in the world of directing and focused heavily on the challenges of working with actors. I would love to start or join a Lounge where the focus is on how we as directors work with writers and actors. The Golden Triangle (writer, director, actor). I am also the author of best-selling books: Directing Feature Films, and The Film Director's Bag of Tricks. I look forward to hearing from all of you.

@Mark Great idea. Are several reasons I enjoy directing but highest on passion list is being the catalyst in producing a third entity via communication skills with performer. Many facets are at play in mining a character from another person and director's differ in both approach and tactics. Be cool to have a meaty blog on intricacies of subject matter.
