I relate, @Aaron Marcus. I used to get upset when people didn't reply to my messages, but it doesn't bother me much now. I know people get busy, life happens, etc. If I don't hear from someone after a while, I'll send a short follow-up message, but once I send the original message, I let it go and focus on my projects and networking.
Sounds like we have had very similar experiences. Life is too short to spend a lot of time feeling angry with others. I also will send follow up messages when not hearing back. But, never have the attitude that I used to have.

You're right, Aaron Marcus ("Life is too short to spend a lot of time feeling angry with others"). And being angry uses up a lot of energy.
