Hey, Stage 32 (Filmmaking/Directing Lounge). I need your help. I am directing/producing a proof of concept short, 14 pages from my feature script SURFING IN AFGHANISTAN (with a beginning, middle, and end), May 23, 24, and 25, in and around the dry lake beds of Ridgecrest, CA. Aside from my two actors and the barren landscape, the vehicle they travel in is just as important. It’s the true hero of the film. In my script, it's an old, tattered Volkswagen bus and I am in search of one for three days. However, if I cannot secure an old VW (not a show car), I’d love to find a late-1980s retro-looking mini-van or just an old colorful van. The vehicle must be street-legal and NOT a car you show at competitions. It would be a plus if you are crew - such as a Boom/Sound, HMU, etc. DM me here on Stage 32 or at rtdirector@gmail.com. @RT Your project looks awesome. You might find someone for vehicle you need in anything goes lounge. Someone might be or know someone who owns a garage that stocks vintage cars. One of my props for an external scene recently fell through, old Irish telephone box. I put out a UK search for another iconic Irish prop (not here) & found someone with a unique Delorean car.
