Introduce Yourself : My Name Is by Miles Guichard

Miles Guichard

My Name Is

Hi everyone!

My name is Miles Guichard. I'm a director, writer, actor, and current Senior at Howard University majoring in Media, Journalism, and Film with a concentration in Television and Film Production. I'm currently based in Washington DC, as well as Chicago, IL and I'd love to meet fellow creatives who want to change the narratives that currently dominate mainstream media.

I fell in love with filmmaking after being exposed to the production process my senior year of High school after being selected to make a guest appearance on a FOX aired game show. At the end of my freshman year I won a scriptwriting fellowship for Chicago creatives called "Flip The Script" and I turned the script I wrote for that into my very first feature film "Just In Time" that premiered at Chicago's Chatham Theatre in October 2023. Since then I've been pursuing all writing and directing oppurtunities I can, and I'm currently in production on three different short films working with all student filmmakers.

I want to be able to put younger people in positions to create mainstream content and movies, and I would like the support of the community here at Stage 32 to make that dream a reality. I'm a young, hungry, writer and director, and I'm excited to network and potentially work with you all!

Great to meet you Miles Guichard ! Glad to have you in the community. There are definitely a lot of great people for you to start connecting with. One thing I wish I would have done was connect with more industry professionals when I was still in college. It really opens doors when you graduate. Email me at success@stage32.com and I will give you some ideas of how to connect with industry pros while you're still in school.
