Hi all,
I thought I'd jump in at the very tail end of the Introduce Yourself weekend.
I'm Justin Woolley and have been a professional published author for around ten years. I'm the author of a bunch of novels across young-adult dystopian, science-fiction comedy and IP work for Warhammer 40k by Games Workshop.
I've also been pursuing screenwriting for several years as well and now have a number of completed scripts under my belt including some that have done well in competitions such as the Final Draft Big Break. I've written primarily action-comedy, horror-comedy and science-fiction with (you guessed it) comedy.
I'm looking to find connections into the industry. I'm based in Hobart, Australia so a long way from the hustle of LA.
Thanks,
Justin

My newest screenplay is "The Emperor of Flying Cars." It received 3 5-star reviews on Stage 32. It's a docu-fantasy about our flying car future. I'm seeking funding for it and friends on here.

Hi, Justin Woolley. Great to see you at Introduce Yourself Weekend again! One incredible thing about Stage 32 is you can network and make connections all over the world. And Stage 32 has in-person Meetups (www.stage32.com/meetups). If you don't see a Meetup in your area, you're welcome to make one.

Is Hobart in Tasmania? One of my first friends in the industry, actor Jaason Simmons is from there. I love Australia and have spent lots of time in Sydney (with side trips to Katoombah & the Gold Coast). Big fan of WENTWORTH, Greg McLean & all things Chris Lilley.

Hi @Christian McLaughlin, yes, Hobart in Tasmania. Beautiful part of the world and I'm lucky to live here! (Despite being so far from the action sometimes!) I don't know Jaason but I've met Greg at a convention here in Australia before. If you're ever back in Australia you should make your side trip down to Tasmania!

I would love that! Jaason did a couple years on BAYWATCH after my then-boss (his agent) hooked us up when I had an extra Shakespears Sister concert ticket for their show at the Roxy 100 years ago. Greg is SO underrated... a master of horror whose giant-croc epic ROGUE is a classic of the rampaging reptile genre. We imported Greg's WOLF CREEK TV series and loved it as well.

Thanks Osiris Doumbe, I tried to write a script without jokes once, I think I lasted a couple of pages :)
