Introduce Yourself : Say HI to my Squishy Brain by Bill McCormick

Say HI to my Squishy Brain

Greetings fellow humans, and those who species identify as same, my name is Bill and I am a science fiction writer based in Chicago. While my scripts haven't gotten the love my wife feels they deserve, the books I base them on have. The Brittle Riders was voted best sci-fi book of 2022 by the Critters Readers poll (Critters = Book Critics), and earned Best Dystopian Sci-Fi Novel of 2025 at the LA BookFest, which is judged by authors who have sold over 100,000 books and publicists who have them as clients.

Kirkus Reviews says that it's "Densely packed, SF-tinged high fantasy that mildly satirizes the genre." They also gave the subtle recommendation, "BUY IT!"

I like subtle.

Anyway, that little tome is currently being developed for film by Perspective Film House.

My comic series, Legends Parallel, is an urban comic set in Chicago that leans heavily into LGBTQIA+ support. Obviously, it has a massive fan club in England. Now that we have secured distribution through Drive Thru Comics, people no longer need to bootleg copies.

I mean, it was cool that people did that, but cool don't pay the rent.

I have written a bunch of other stuff that some people like, and you can check everything out at BillMcSciFi.com.

Basically, I rarely bite, so feel free to say hello.

What's up, Squishy Brain? Congratulations on selling over 100,000 books and publicists and all the success, Bill McCormick! That's incredible and really impressive!

Bill McCormick

Maurice Vaughan, I didn't sell that many. I wish. No, each of the judges did.

Maurice Vaughan

Oooh, Bill McCormick. I misread that part. Hope you sell that many!

G.R. Barnett Thank Photoshop for it. As I discovered, the people who own OnlyFans will sue you if you try to make it.

Christopher Kulas

Hello! Sounds like you're quite experience and have had success. That's awesome.
