When I was younger, I would sit front of the tv, night and day, drowning out the unwanted noise and problems that surrounded me. The T.V became my sanctum. I was a kid looking for a happy place and T.V was not suppose to be that place for an 8 year old. There are to many movies and shows to name off that influenced my love for writing but there is one thing I know for sure, being in front of that T.V helped me. At first, I started telling stories through writing music. This was a path I assumed was the right path, but eventually I realized my stories was meant to be in another format and told in a different way. Writing is not a hobby or a skill to me., it's a chance for me to share a world I created and tell the stories I transformed from that 8 year old kid who moved through life.

Great to meet you, Meko Gray. Your post reminds me of Saturday mornings growing up when I watched cartoons until 12 P.M., then movies and shows came on.

Hi Meko Gray - it's so nice to meet you. Happy Introduce Yourself Weekend and welcome to Stage 32. I love, love that you started telling stories through music. I grew up as a musician first and gradually made the shift to writing. I still use music to write. Very glad you're with us!

Meko Gray Hi Meko, I’m sorry to hear that you had a rough childhood. I hope you find an outlet through your writing. What is your current project?

Thanks a lot everyone. I just did a pitch to an executive for my current project and was told they've never heard a story and pitch like it. They were blown away and was asking to hear more when I finished. That was my first pitch to an executive ever. I'm really stoked about it.
