I’m writing, really failing to write a pitch for my whimsical, absurd, and hilarious animated limited series. I want to pitch it but I’m really stuck. I’ve got the voice down for the pitch, but I’m struggling on whether I should be primarily focusing on the pilot (which is written) or the series as a whole (mapped out).
any advice on how I should proceed will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Rick, I'd recommend highlighting the pilot but showing that you've mapped out the series, I'd done a pitch recently and got a request and in the feeback the exec gave me, they loved the fact I'd mapped further than just the pilot. I always believe any inkling that you've planned ahead is always a good thing. I did a pilot synopsis and then I did a season 1 engine highlighting where my endgame was and where it could go after. Rick Wheeler congrats on completing your pilot! I second my colleagues’ suggestions and I will add that generally for series pitching its about the world (unique and intriguing/inviting); the characters (their objectives, conflicts, and paradoxes); then pilot synopsis; then the first season arc; then where series could go 5,10 seasons down the road.
