Hi. I hope everyone is doing well. My name is Chandra Gerson. I'm a screenplay writer with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and currently reside in Southern California. I have twelve completed scripts and my feature screenplays have placed in multiple film festivals and screenplay competitions, as well as three of my shorts were screened at the 2016 Cannes Marche Du Film. I wrote, produced, and directed all of my shorts and one feature under my own production company, KitnKat Productions. However, writing is now my main focus. Having a mother that spent 40 years teaching high at risk youth made my childhood interesting and at times downright scary, thus leaving me with some crazy tales I hope to share someday.
I'm looking forward to connecting and have a wonderful week. Take care.

Hi Chandra,
Thank you for sharing your journey! Your path is truly impressive and inspiring, especially the fact that you’ve written, produced, and directed your own projects. I also really admire how your personal experiences feed into your writing, giving your stories a unique authenticity.
I’m curious, how did you manage to bring so many projects to life independently? Did you follow a particular method, or was it more of a step-by-step process shaped by opportunities along the way?
I look forward to learning more about your projects, and I hope our creative paths cross here on Stage 32.

Nice to meet you Chandra. What a lovely name btw! I am from Bangladesh originally and it reminds me of the names we often heard back home. Would love to talk about your writing process more, are you on FB?

I didn’t go to the best schools growing up and my upbringing was quite chaotic and dysfunctional so yeah you can say I was an at risk youth. I love to connect with you sometime.
