Hello, my name is Haylee Hemphill. I am 26 years old and an award-winning screenwriter from central Pennsylvania. I currently attend Southern New Hampshire University to earn my degree in Creative English with a concentration in Screenwriting in hopes to further my career. After surviving a traumatic vehicle crash in 2020, I felt compelled to share my story in a unique and creative way. I then wrote a screenplay inspired by my experience. My script has since won four awards, including Best Feature Script at The North Film Festival in New York City — on the same day I officially met the man who saved my life.
It is my goal to inspire at least one person with my story.
All my words stem from trauma and triumph.

Haylee Hemphill, I am very thankful that you survived. I hope that you made a full recovery. Congratulations on the success of your script. Truly impressive. We have some things in common. I am also a trauma survivor and I lived in Pennsylvania briefly. I even graduated fron SNHU. Best wishes from an American in Germany.

I know from first hand experience about the trauma of a car crash and it always stays with you. There is something about being in that situation that follows you and exposes itself in unexpected ways. Great that you found an outlet for the trauma.

Relating isn't a bad thing as it gives you a feeling that your experience is understood and you are not isolated in your thoughts about the experience. I am sure that we all have traumatic moments in our lives and sometimes it helps hearing someone else talk about feelings and thoughts about it perhaps helping others to process the events in a different way.

I'd definitely watch that, Haylee Hemphill! I think you're really close to a solid logline. I suggest giving the young woman an adjective the main flaw she has to overcome in the script or an adjective that describes her personality). It'll give the reader more insight into her character.
