Emerging Screenwriter from India – Passionate about Historical & Emotional Stories

Hi everyone!

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Sana Chugh! What's one of your favorite themes to write?

David Dicaire

Hello from Canada. India seems so exotic and mysterious to me.

Sana Chugh

“Hi David! Thank you for sharing that. India is indeed full of contrasts — vibrant culture, deep history, and sometimes tragic moments. My script 84: The Sikh Genocide is one such story that explores humanity during a difficult chapter. I’d truly value any feedback you might have on my logline. Looking forward to learning more about your work too!”

What are you working on, Sana? I love the blend of history and emotional stories-- tell us more!

Staffan Zeipel

Welcome, Sana! Historical stories with deep emotion can be so powerful. I’m a screenwriter from Sweden – glad to connect and follow your journey.

Hi Libby! Thank you so much. Right now, I'm working on a short script titled: 84- The Sikh Genocide . It blends a tragic love story with the backdrop of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Through this, I'm exploring how love and humanity collapse in the face of hatred. I'd be so grateful if you could share your feedback- it would help me grow as a screenwriter.

Sana Chugh

Hi Staffan! Great to meet you here . Your focus on psychological thrillers and high concept sci-fi sounds so exciting- especially your debut feature set on a remote island, that's a powerful setting. I usually write around human emotions, often through romantic tragedies , but I really admire how thrillers can grip the audience. Looking forward to following your journey and learning from your process.
