As a disabled, destitute senior writer I would love to enter my completed half-hour dramedy pilot:, "A Stroke of Luck," but 60 bucks is out of my reach. jedpower@verizon.net Do other diversity writers find this a problem too?

I do. I stopped submitting to contests long ago. I don't see the point; such a minute amount of the winners get their film made, to say nothing of the "semi-finalists" and "quarterfinalists", none of whom ever have their script see the light of day.
I just query and pitch now. Taking this approach has been successful and the single best decision I have made since I began writing in 2018.
