Hey everyone, seeking advice on how to find literary representation

Hello everyone, I hope your weekend is going awesome...so the reason for this post is just like the title says I'm seeking literary representation, I've got 6 completed scripts and yes, I have entered several screenwriting competitions and even been on a couple of hot list for 2 different literary agencies (I'm not sure if I should name them or not.) And, I am currently gearing up to start working on my seventh screenplay within the next day or two...so tell me anyone, everyone...what else could I do? any tips, advice or insights would be greatly appreciated -JAC

Hey, Jaime A. Cedeno. Hope your weekend's going awesome too. Congratulations on being on a couple of hot lists!

You could pitch to managers through Stage 32’s Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions)? The main purpose of the Pitch Sessions is to get feedback to improve your pitch, but sometimes the managers, executives, etc. will request scripts, sign writers, etc. (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).

You could post your scripts on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. Maybe managers too. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your scripts on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

Stage 32 has free in-person Meetups that are great for networking (www.stage32.com/meetups). If you don't see a Meetup in your area, keep an eye on that page for new Meetups. And you're welcome to start your own Meetup.

You could also search for a manager and/or agent on IMDbPro, Jaime A. Cedeno. https://pro.imdb.com/signup

Honestly, Maurice Vaughan I hadn't thought of that...thanks, I'll look in to it.

hi Jaime A. Cedeno - congrats on the response you’ve gotten so far for your scripts. that’s awesome. in addition to what our colleagues mentioned, if you haven’t already, you should reach out to Geof & his team at successstage32.com and fill him in on your projects to date, on the feedback/recognition they’ve received. he can help you target the appropriate reps available for pitching here on the platform. keep us posted! :) cheers

use the screenwriting services on Stage32. I believe it’s still only 35 bucks to get your work read by an industry professional.
