There are a couple of Christmas Specials I saw years ago but haven't seen since.
1. I think was called Countdown to Christmas, and it was sort of a faux news program, with a news crew detailing Santa and his elves preparing for the ride, and some snafus that delayed them. Including an upgraded techno-Santa sled that broke down.
2. A Christmas movie where Santa and an elf traveled to the outside world and met a child who helped them and some people figured out his identity. Then when he was accidentally knocked out by a crook, his magic disappeared, but then everyone said they believed in Santa Claus (the crook decided to return the money) and his magic was restored and he came back.
3. Then another special called The Search for Santa Claus or Search for Santa on TLC. It detailed the history in the legend of Santa, while an investigative reporter was learning about a mysterious good Samaritan named Lucas A. Nast and found his name as an anagram of Santa Claus.
