Screenwriting : New Year, New Thing by Maurice Vaughan

It’s not really new for me but I do want to write a lot more action this year. Hoping against hope that this means I can get back to work writing Seed lol

I want to get a script or two sold and I want to film the short I wanted to film last year.

Hey Maurice, so Rabbit Holes hmmm. Need input I don't know about those rabbit holes. could they be those 2am get out of bed to write moments?

This year I want to do more of the same as last year, but also- I'd love to see myself make a short film on iphone or use my small camera I have. The idea being-- just seeing it come to life- even if it's for my own portfolio-- so I can see how to better learn and grow. Also, I want to learn more about the producer side of things.

Rose Dupuis In my experience, the rabbit holes are when I go to research things and end up researching too much about them and researching other things that won't be in the script.

I've heard of other members making short films on their iphones, Cynna Ael. You could get advice in the Filmmaking/Directing Lounge (www.stage32.com/lounge/directing).

Ah yes Maurice, those rabbit holes, found my way out for now. Entrepreneurial mind set and the internet I find I can now avoid most of them.

Research rabbit holes could be an idea for a script, Rose Dupuis. Or a scene in a script.

This year I think I might take a shower. It's been a while. If I buy waterproof paper, I could write in there too. It's probably the only place I haven't yet.

The only plan I have is to develop a really good horror franchise idea I've had. As ever, I start the year with the mentality I detail here.
