Introduce Yourself : Introducing myself- Tammy Thompson of Thompson Productions by Tammy Thompson

Introducing myself- Tammy Thompson of Thompson Productions

I just want to say hello, as I just discovered this platform and joined. I am looking forward to networking with others in the industry. Currently, I do everything myself, from the script story, filming, editing, and music composing. At some point, when the income stream grows large enough, I want to offset some of my tasks to other talented people. That way, I can speed up production.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Tammy Thompson. It's great to see you at Introduce Yourself Weekend. What's your favorite? Script story, filming, editing, or music composing.

Elle Bolan

Hey Tammy , it's nice to meet you! Welcome to Stage 32! This is a great community full of creatives passionate about filmmaking. Drop into some of our discipline lounges to chat and get to know everyone.

We have a Community Open House every month, hosted by our Head of Community, Ashley Renee Smith. This month's is on January 28 @ 12:00 p.m. PT. You can register here: https://www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32s-january-2026-commun...

Stage 32 has a lot of great resources for creatives, but the platform is massive so if you get the chance to watch the community open house, do yourself that favor. Ashley does a great job of showing folks around the site. It's really helpful.

You're wearing so many hats! That's highly impressive. I admire those who are so multi-talented. Once you're ready to start delegating to others, we have a Job Board you could post to.

You can find that here: https://www.stage32.com/find-jobs

I'm so glad you've joined us! Very excited to have you become part of our community. I can't wait to see what you create!

Leonardo Ramirez

Wow you really do have a heavy load Tammy Thompson - film composing alone is massive as is directing! We're glad you're with us here on Stage 32. Getting to know my fellow creatives here has been a real highlight.

Sam Rivera

Welcome Tammy Thompson! It's fantastic to have you here. Being able to handle the full process from script to music is an incredible and this is a great place to start building that network of collaborators for when you're ready. Are you working on anything at the moment?

Stephanie Condon

Hats off to you, Tammy! It's not easy to go it alone, but I bet it means your creative vision really gets to shine!

Tammy Thompson

Leonardo Ramirez Yes, it is a lot! The way I look at skills is if I can pay someone to do it, great, as time is the most valuable thing we have. If I cannot afford to pay someone, I can barter, for example, film a music video in exchange for a song music composition. If I can’t barter, then the third option is to learn to do it myself, which is why I have so many skills, lol.

The music composition is my new skill, and not having it held up my first film release, The Beauty of Forgiveness. Sadly, one of the main actors died during that time period when I was trying to figure out how to score the film. The music quotes I had gotten were 6-9K! It was a very dark and painful learning season for me. Since then, I have made it an effort to grow in that area. I scored my first film and my recent teaser for my upcoming show, Word and Deed. The most valuable skill is the ability to learn.

Tammy Thompson

Maurice Vaughan Thank you for the question, and it is a good one. My gift is storytelling, whether in a book or film. I have 12 published books so far. Books and films are two very different ways of storytelling. Right now, with filmmaking and doing all the parts, I have total control over the process from start to finish. It allows me to bring the visual in my head to life to share with others.

Tammy Thompson

Sam Rivera Yes, it is a lot, but it is a necessity. It is the only way I can afford to get things done. I am currently working on a show I created, Word and Deed, that will run for 3 seasons. A huge project, and many days I feel the pressure. It's a massive workload I have taken on.

Word and Deed is a gripping, Christian drama series blending faith, action, and suspense. A show about hidden scars, sacred duty, and second chances. It balances emotional storytelling with undercover intrigue, late-night justice, and spiritual redemption.

I just put out the teaser for Word and Deed if you want to see a taste of it. It is on my profile page.

Are you working on anything at the moment?

Tammy Thompson

Stephanie Condon Yes, doing the whole process helps maintain control and the vision to stay true.

Tammy Thompson

Elle Bolan Thank you for the warm welcome! The good thing about wearing so many hats is that when I can delegate tasks and roles, I will know exactly how they need to be done, so it will enable better creative control and communication. I see the value in so many jobs like casting, editing, cinematography, sound, lighting, and music scoring. All of those are very time-consuming. My goal is to someday just create/write, direct, and produce.

Leonardo Ramirez

I agree Tammy Thompson in that the ability and desire to learn is paramount. I am so sorry for the loss of your actor and colleague. That had to have been really hard. Blessings in all that you put your hands to.

Darrell Pennington

Welcome to the community Tammy. I believe you will find this a great place for so many different needs on your creative journey.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Tammy Thompson. My condolences to you and the actor's family, friends, and fans.

Total control over the process from start to finish is one of the reasons I want to write and make audio dramas.

Wow! 12 published books! Congratulations! What's the title of one of them?

Tammy Thompson

Maurice Vaughan You should totally go for it. Don’t let anything stop a desire of your heart. Have you started yet, or do you have any ideas?

I publish Christian nonfiction and Christian fiction. My young adult series is called The Land of Good Dreams. There will be eight books in the series, with 5 published so far. The story takes place with five main kids from ages 13/14 to ages 18/19. It is a fantasy uplifting story that inspires goodness with how the kids learn to deal with heartache and extreme life challenges.

God gave me the story many years ago when my youngest child had terrible nightmares. Every night before bed, he would pray, “God help me to have all good dreams tonight and no bad dreams.” One night, when he was praying, God spoke to me and asked me to imagine a world like this, where children can escape their nightmares and experience a world full of good dreams. So I did just that. I let myself imagine that place, and from that, the story of The Land of Good Dreams was born. I hope to one day film the series, but I need to grow first in animated worlds, like learning Unreal Engine. Plus, I will need a huge budget to create that world.

If you have a dream, live for it. The worst regret is never trying.

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks for the push, Tammy Thompson! I might write and make a Comedy audio drama or Mystery audio drama. The Land of Good Dreams sounds incredible! I added it to my read list.

I hope you sell a lot of books, turn your books into a film series, and have a lot of success on Stage 32!

Tammy Thompson

Michael Dzurak , Thank you. Being busy is not glamorous lol, but it helps to get things done. Best of luck.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Tammy Thompson. Glad you joined the community! Ok, I'll let you know. I subscribed to your YouTube channel. I'm excited for Word and Deed!

Billy Kwack

Hi Tammy, do you have any work streaming anywhere?

Tammy Thompson

Billy Kwack Hi. I built my own streaming platform, and on it, I have music videos I have done and my first film, The Beauty of Forgiveness. It has a free level where you can see the music videos and trailers, but to watch films and my upcoming show, Word and Deed, requires a paid subscription. That is how I fund what I make.
