Hi everyone! In the spirit of Introduce Yourself weekend, I thought I'd reintroduce myself. I'm PK, a screenwriter who has been at this for two years exactly. I started writing my first screenplay, The Sword of the Celestial Dragon, in February of 2024. Since then I've completed six screenplays, and have improved with each one, and am currently reediting Dragon to get it up to my current level of ability. I have a novelist background, so my action lines have needed a lot of work. As you can tell by this introduction, I tend to be verbose when brevity is paramount.
I've been a member of Stage 32 since my start in 2024, and really enjoy this community, the lounges, the curated execs, the blogs (RB's Sunday blogs are now a weekly ritual for me), and of course the webinars.
My short term goal is to go through my earlier screenplays to clean up the action lines. Mid term goal is to resume pitching execs here at Stage 32 and to join the Writer's Room, and my long term goal for 2026 is get one step closer to representation and/or a spec sale. I'm also open to OWAs, taking second passes for other IP, and ghostwriting.

Hi, Patrick Koepke. Congratulations on two years being a screenwriter, and congratulations on all your accomplishments! That's really impressive for two years!
I didn't realize for years how important action lines are. Did you take the Stage 32 webinar called "How to Write Effective Action Lines in Your Film or TV Script"? www.stage32.com/education/products/how-to-write-effective-action-lines-i...

Patrick, that kind of self-awareness about craft is half the battle. Refining action lines and returning to earlier work is real growth. Wishing you momentum as you sharpen Dragon and move toward your 2026 goals.
