Introduce Yourself : Reintroduction by Shawn Jackson

Shawn Jackson

Reintroduction

5 years ago I set my foot on Stage 32. I laughed when I read the post. Much has changed from that first shy post.

The beard is a bit more gray, the expectations and experience a bit more nuanced. I am more confident in my writing and moving forward in script development.

In the next five years I look forward to bringing my screenwriting to industry attention and the wider audience.

It all starts with the connections we make here.

Hello Shawn, it sounds like your screenwriting journey is transforming. Much success!

Sounds like progress on all fronts to me, Shawn Jackson. Glad you're still here and stepping out. Here's to that five year plan.

Hi Shawn Jackson, it’s great to see you reintroducing yourself, and welcome back.

I love the reflection here. That shift from a “first shy post” to a more confident voice with clearer direction is exactly what this journey is about. It really shows how much growth can happen over time when you stay committed.

You’re absolutely right, it all starts with the connections we make here. To build on that, I’d encourage you to get more active across the other lounges as well. The Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), Producing Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing), and Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing) are great spaces to meet more people, expand your network, and start building those relationships that can help bring your work to a wider audience.

I’d also love to invite you to our Community Open House happening this week. It’s a free session where I walk through the latest tools and resources available on Stage 32 and how to use them strategically to support your goals:

Great to have you back and moving forward with intention, Shawn.
