Here to help!

I've had the chance to connect with many of you in the community but for those who are new, I'm Geoff, director of development services at Stage 32. I'm here to help you connect with executives and move your career forward, whatever your goals are. I've spent the last 12 years in Hollywood working in every segment of the industry, from scouting, management, development, physical production and packaging. My favorite thing about my work is to help creators accomplish new milestones and land a deal. I'd love to know what inspires you to create.

Hi Geoffroy Faugerolas, happy IYW :)) It’s always good to see you here. And thank you for everything you do helping so many of us move forward with clarity and confidence. I’ve learned a lot just from watching how you guide creators through the development process.

What inspires me to create is connection. Real people, real emotions, the strange little moments that reveal who we are. I’m always chasing that feeling of “I’ve lived this too,” even when the story has supernatural edges or dry‑humour chaos. If I can make someone feel seen, that’s enough.

Curious to hear what’s been inspiring you lately in your work with storytellers.

Geoffroy Faugerolas

Sandra Isabel Thank you, Sandra! The community wouldn't be the same without you. Lately, I've been inspired by storytellers who don't compromise their vision and persevere no matter the obstacles.

Hi Geoffroy

My name is Johnny Mann (subwaykidaol.com) and I enjoy connecting with industry people.

In 2022, my comedy screenplay, “Dooda and Rayford, the Alabaster Boys! was awarded a Stage 32 quarterfinalist selection, and the same screenplay was just awarded a quarterfinalist and a semi-finalist selection from the International Screenplay Association (ISA) for Spring 2026.

Geoffroy Faugerolas, thank you. That’s really kind. Happy to know that because it’s one of the things I admire most in this community, the way people stay true to their voice while navigating the realities of the industry journey. And your support to us is 200% Thank you

So glad to hear! I'll check out the video.

Hello, happy IYW to you!

Thank you very much for the great work you always do in helping us find the best opportunities, and for hosting such valuable meetings with executives so we can learn from their experience.

For me, many of my projects and ideas come from my deep interest in neuroscience. Now I also have ideas around other topics, but they are all still connected to my fascination with science, technology, and philosophy.

Geoffroy Faugerolas

Neuroscience? Fascinating. Perfect topic for sci-fi. Are you a scientist?

Meriem Bouziani

I studied for a three-year bachelor’s degree in human philosophy and health at university. I was very interested in specializing in neuroscience, but I didn’t pursue it formally. Still, I kept learning and reading about neuroscience on my own, and all that knowledge helped me develop my neuro-sci-fi concepts. Maybe one day, I’ll return to that passion and study neuroscience more deeply Geoffroy Faugerolas

Nice meeting you. What inspires me to write is simple. I want to bring my imagination to life. There are worlds and characters living in my head that I believe deserve to exist beyond my mind. If I can put my perspective into a character and build something that moves even one person or inspires someone someday, then every word was worth it.

Laquan Copeland

The best to ever do it!!!

Geoffroy Faugerolas Are you here in Cannes mate? Love to meet you next days,...

Patrick Koepke

Hi again Geoffroy Faugerolas! I always appreciate your perspective and look forward to your posts, blogs, emails, etc.

Inspiration for me usually comes from a memory or experience I have, or taking a normal situation and wondering what would happen is X was slightly skewed. I never lack for inspiration, just time to get every idea into a well-written screenplay takes time.

Geoffroy Faugerolas

I'm not but the team is. Check out our events' page: https://www.stage32.com/meetups.

Honestly I think curiosity is what keeps me writing.

I like stories where impossible things happen to very human, very flawed people and seeing how they emotionally survive it.

Also caffeine. A dangerous amount of caffeine.

Hi Geoff! Happy IYW! What inspires me to create is the challenge of blending human emotion with complex world-building.

I’ve always been fascinated by how human grief and technology collide, which led me to construct Samsaraverse. I actually just hit a big milestone by releasing Volume One on Amazon! It grew into a 588-page philosophical sci-fi project, complete with over 180 illustrations and a 6-track original soundtrack I made to capture the story's psychological atmosphere.

For me, it's about pushing the boundaries of how a story can be experienced. Thanks for everything you do to support creators here!
