Has anyone here had success through the International Screenwriters' Association (ISA)?
I currently have several screenplays listed as "In Consideration" through ISA opportunities, and I was curious about other writers' experiences.
Have any of you received read requests, meetings, representation, options, staffing opportunities, or other meaningful industry connections through ISA?
Also, for those who have gone through the process before, how often does an "In Consideration" status actually lead to further contact?
I'm interested in hearing both positive and negative experiences so I can better understand how the platform has worked for other writers.
Thanks in advance.

Some writers have gotten meetings, read requests, and valuable industry connections, while others say the “In Consideration” status can sometimes remain without follow-up. Still, it’s a good platform for exposure and networking if your material stands out. Wishing you the best with your screenplays.
John, I've had better luck with ISA than Stage 32...in that several projects of mine have reached "In Consideration" at ISA. (No further followups, though.)

Waste of time, money and effort. Give it a pass.
A screenwriting pal tried it and swore that after they posted the script, several open requests for stories exactly like theirs suddenly appeared. Bolstered by this, they applied and the status never went out of "In Consideration."
It's a money-minting machine ... like most of the ilk that dangle a carrot on a stick.
I have had far more success with Stage 32 as a Writer's Room member than with ISA. However, if it's in your budget, then give it a shot. You can't go wrong with getting your projects out there.

I had a script make the Top Ten Finalist list for the 2026 Emerging Screenwriters Screenwriting Contest. I get a few freebies from ISA and some cash. I think the most important thing I got out of it was the satisfaction that there were something like 2000+entries globally and to make it to the final ten was some solid validation of my work.
