I'm a writer new to Stage 32 and looking to connect with others here.

Hi I'm Savannah J, a writer currently working on my sixth novel. I'm looking to turn my suspense novel titled The Prey into a screen play in the near future. I'd love to connect with other writers and screen writers here.

Debbie Elicksen

Welcome aboard, Savannah. I know you'll find a wealth of resources here and a lot of encouragement.

Author Savannah Jackson

Thank you. I'm more than ready to learn and grow.

Roger Bannister

Hi Savannah, writer wannabe here! I come from a culture where story tellers and musicians are a hugely respected and appreciated so aspiring to be a writer is a good thing even this late in life. I'd love to hear more about how you got started and how you work.

Joseph E. "Duke" Miller

Hi Savannah - regarding you title, you should be aware that John Sanford has an entire series of Prey novels, his latest "Silken Prey," and that Michael Crichton has a novel out with the title "Prey." It just goes to show you that great minds think alike. Good luck!

Author Savannah Jackson

Hi Roger, I come from a family of artists, so being creative was fostered in me from birth. I started my first book in about 2003 and didn't complete it until 2005. It took me that long because I had to write late at night or early in the morning after work. Now, on my days off, I escape to a local coffee house for about 3 to 5 hours. I have less distractions and get more done. I have a group of writer friends and we help each other stay motivated. I also host a literary festival yearly to help new and struggling writers showcase their work. Well, actually, the festival will now be held every other year. Let me know how I can be of help to you.

Author Savannah Jackson

Hi Joseph, thanks for reaching out to me. Actually, there are several books out there with the title, The Prey. I'm sure my book will have to be re-titled if it does become a screen play. Come to think of it, there don't seem to be any original ideas anymore. LOL! Thanks again!

Roger Bannister

Savannah, did you have any formal training as a writer? What sort of things did you do to build your writing skills?

Jean Guy Jacques

I just finished two action/thriller nonels... I have an idea for a science fiction novel... of course it's great... what else... Ha! Ha!... I'm looking for a co-writer... interested ??? I have a literary agent...

Author Savannah Jackson

Roger My only formal training was in college where my English prof suggested, I explore writing as opposed to medicine which is what I was taking classes for. I have since found a mentor who is a great help and keeps me on track. I have my network of authors whom I run things by and allow to proof my work.I have a great editor who is brutally honest with me. But, I would suggest a writing class for anyone interested in becoming a better writer. I intend to take a class or two this fall.

Author Savannah Jackson

Hi there Jean, please tell me a little about your idea and then we can see if I'll be a good fit. Feel free to message me. Thank you for asking!

Jean Guy Jacques

Hello Savannah... thank you for your reply... have you ever written sci-fi story ??? Let me know what's your favourite sci-fi movie... Mine is Kubrick's A Space Odyssey... Best regards... Ciao! JG

Author Savannah Jackson

Hi Jean, No I haven't but I do like some sci-fi stories. I'm on my way out so I can't chat but I will talk with you tomorrow.

Bill B.j.Lee

Good Morning Ms.Jackson...Has there been any previous interest in turning your novels into screenplays by production companies?

Author Savannah Jackson

Good evening Bill, thanks for reaching out to me. No, there has not been any interest by production companies in turning my novels into screenplays. I would be thrilled to have that happen.

Cindy Myskiw

How about actors, you will be looking for those too won't you...lol

Author Savannah Jackson

Hi Cindy, when the day arrives. I'm sure I will. :-)

Jean Guy Jacques

Savanah... don't write a screen play unless someone wanna make a movie outta your novel... wasted time. JG

Jean Guy Jacques

I did the opposite... two years ago I wrote a screenplay 'The baby Factory' and this year I turned it into a novel. Very very hard to sell a screenplay.

Lina Jones
