How do I break it gently

How to break it to your cast when you want to pull the plug on the project that should have ended long ago? The project has been on and off and it's just ridiculous that I let it go on for so long with out anything good to come of it.

Laura Tabor-Huerta

Heart to heart talk. It is the only way.

Sonny Dyon

Like yanking a band-aid...quick and brutally honest.

Cory Wess

I agree with Lorenzo. If you quit you'll brand yourself as a quitter. Who would want to sign up with your future projects? Not me if they are unlikely to finish and waste my efforts. There are problems that are preventing you from completing the project. Identify and resolve them and complete the project as quickly as possible so everyone can at least have a portfolio piece and move on. For each problem you have, there are probably 10 solutions available that you haven't thought of.

I completely hate quitting, but the problem with the project is that my lead keeps dropping, and it involves her a a child(who is already casted) and her a teenager whom we keep losing. So It makes it's hard to find quick replacements, We have had at least 5 replacements which makes it's difficult. I really don't want to me marked as a quitter, that isn't a good title to start with. Also to Lorenzo who makes a good point just to have a change the script slightly and finish it off.. Thanks you all for the comments its really helping me in the tough situation!
