Acting : My First Reel! by Artan Telqiu

i would only suggest balancing the sound level of all clips...Might be a bit long in some parts. IGE: Holding hands at the end. Is that really showing your acting, or the DP's idea of drama? Not to say it was not good camera work, only that it is about YOU. FWIW

Hey Alle, Thank you for your comments. As I tried to understand what you were trying to tell me, I guess your message is, make the reel short and all about me. But will a line that only I deliver that makes no sense alone will come out good? Btw, I can get you all the contacts that you need from my reel, unless you were being ironic. I received your comments as a critique, however everyone has different opinions. The things that you have not liked many other have. What I mostly appreciated from your post was the last part. The what to do with a reel and what CDs are looking for. About your comments about my acting, you have to understand the characters I am playing. The doctor is uncomfortable because he is giving them a bad news. The girl is important because he is not talking to a wall. About the wide shot, that is not my job and the acting that I am listening to the character talking, that us what people do. They listen and then talk. They don't dance while someone is talking. And when tgey are interrogated about a mussing girl they are ubcomfortable and unsure. The opening scene is there so the CD sees my face. I am the soldier, who made the reel is not about the costume, it's about me. So that is there just because the CD will know my face when the reel continues. I think that is important. The comments I was looking here were about the reel not the acting, but I will take anything and evolve on that. But know that on the end I gove what the director asks. One last thing, when you are a critic, the things you don't have to try to be simon from americanidol. Be yourself and you will make more sense. Thank you again. Cheers!

Here are few comments from me. End the second clip with "I'm afraid I don't have good news..." Not need to cut back to the lady again. Continue with the "training scene" and end it with the "civil war". Swap the clips. Also no need to cut back and forth between them. Other then that urime dhe suksese! Edoni

Thank you Edon! I will definitely work with the editor and try to make other versions of the reel. I have a lot more footage that I can use, but for some of the good ones I do not own in HD quality.

Hi Alle, thank you again for taking your time to write to me an guide my way to a better reel. I am curious to see your edit of the reel as it might teach me few things. There will e many other versions of my reel, and this one was made by the editor that clearly needs adjustments.
