PowerNetworking for Actors

This is a forum for follow-up questions for the PowerNetworking for Actors webinar (https://www.stage32.com/webinars/PowerNetworking-for-Actors). Please feel free to post questions or comments here and I'll do my best to answer them for everyone. ;) Break lots of legs! ;-)

Heather Hale

Oh, you're doing GREAT, Olivia! Totally hitting the mark! ;-) Please know that I wouldn't be able to give you tip of the ice berg polishing constructive criticism if the whole ice berg weren't already there solid! ;-) You're WELCOME! I have an idea for you, on the press release - do a little break out box that has an A.K.A.? Solves the problem? And get that Twitter account up! ;-) And get it all uniform - and you'll be unstoppable! Just in time for our auditions! ;-) MWA! Thanks for being such a good sport! ;-)

Thomas Magnussen

Thank you for a great and very insightful webinar. It was very inspirational, - I'm definitely going to put all that new knowledge into action in the coming days and weeks! Thanks again and best of luck with your next film!

Heather Hale

I'm so glad Thomas and Sylvia! Yay! ;-) Yes, please! Get to work! :-) Holler if you have any questions. ;-) Olivia - feel free to holler if you have any questions, too. And if you want to email me, I'll send you the mirror twin script! ;-) We're still raising funds...but ya never know... ;-)

Well ;-) the Emmys are in ten days ;-) If you have any buddies that are members of the Academy, that's always a fun time! ;-) Especially if you can go with friends! Any friends' premieres, screenings, film festival showings, etc. are always great photo opps and chances to get in the press. Getting on all the lists for VIP parties, etc. Just ask around - who's going to Sundance? Cannes? The AFM? TIFF? Where will you be? Austin? Try to join with friends who have films in play or are sponsors or speakers who typically get the All Access passes - and into many of the parities. Ditto, connecting with event sponsors - vendors in the field who will have booths at NATPE, etc. you'll find they are usually controlling the VIP lists cause they're the ones funding the parties! ;-) And PR friends usually have the best hookups. Just brainstorm. Like we talkiness about in PowerNetworking - it's catalyzing your sphere of influence. Friends helping friends. GOOD LUCK! Are you ready for your close-up? ;-)

Brian Perras

I am a member and I went by myself for the first time this year!! I could've have brought you if I saw this sooner. Hello Heather and Olivia my name is Brian!

Heather Hale

Hey Brian! Did you have fun at the Emmys? ;-)

Heather Hale

Might be of interest? Script Magazine did a Q&A profile of me (as the columnist of their Producers POV column): http://www.scriptmag.com/features/script-industry-expert-qa-meet-heather...

Chase Rangel

Hello, Heather, I know this is way late I was wondering if I could possibly get the link list you were talking about in the Power Networking for Actors webinar. I'm surprised no one has asked for it. Thanks Chase

Heather Hale

Hey Chase - I didn't get a notice that you posted this to my wall - I don't know why! Sorry! What is the link or list you need? (IF you even still need it?) Happy to oblige - but don't know the reference...?

Chase Rangel

It was the list of casting website resources you talk about in power networking for actors.

Heather Hale

Hmnn... I think they are all on the webinar, aren't they? I'd be happy to help you, Chase, but as you say, no one's ever asked before ;) and the webinar was a year ago or so - so if you don't mind - to help me help you, do a screen grab (if you can) or tell me how many minutes in to the webinar I made the comment - and I'll try to see what I was referencing - and get that to you! ;-) Deal? ;-)
