A young woman leaves Brazil to try to pursue her dream of becoming a Hollywood star.  By accident she meets her idol, a young actress facing the downs of her career, and upon the idol's request she will help her to get her act together.

SYNOPSIS:

Ceci Maia leaves Brazil to try to pursue in the USA her dream of becoming a successful actress. As soon as she sets foot in Los Angeles her troubles begin. At first she finds out the years she spent learning English was not enough. People have a hard time to understand what she is saying, most of them don’t have the patience to try to understand. She although has the luck, in her very first day, to get to meet another Brazilian who is on vacation in Los Angeles and is really nice to help her to find a hostel and puts herself available to help her around.

Ceci is a huge fan of Mia Leigh a child star, now an adult, whom she meets by chance after being in the same movie theater and hype Mia’s performance up, being the only person at the moment to enjoy her last work. Mia facing the downs of her career gets really touched by what Ceci says about her role and career overall in this difficult time that not even her parents support her. Mia is happy about what she heard and decides to interact with Ceci. Ceci freaks out just to be talking to her idol. Mia offers to take Ceci home and they talk about themselves and Mia learns about Ceci’s dream of coming to the USA and become a famous actress.

The very next day Ceci is surprised to see Mia at the hostel and even shocked to be asked by her idol to help her to prepare to a new role. Ceci does not feel like she is capable to do it but she is convinced by Mia that is okay and they can help each other. Mia also promises to pay her for the help and needing money to survive in LA Ceci decides to take this once in a life time opportunity.

After helping Mia out Ceci goes back to the hostel without the promised payment and is approached by the hostel’s manager regarding the due payments. Ceci not having money to pay has to work for the hostel in order to stay there and eat. While she works she tries to keep her dream alive and strong. In her rare free time she goes around the city looking for screen tests to take and luckily take some of them although they come out negative in the end.

Months later of Ceci working in the hostel, and getting turned down by the productions she took a test, Mia returns from filming her movie and visits Ceci and to her happiness pays her for the help as promised. Ceci now can dedicate herself to her dream and she does score a role in a play that becomes a success. After that, Ceci, supported/pushed by Mia, tests for a movie where Mia is going to star and gets the role and they get to work together.
