PROTECTING ROSE

PROTECTING ROSE
By Cheryl Yeko

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Romance
LOGLINE:

After a battle-hardened deputy rescues a beautiful amnesiac from a targeted hit, he vows to protect her—unaware her uncle plans to hide his crimes by forcing her to sign away her $50 million inheritance before staging her death as suicide.

SYNOPSIS:

Milwaukee deputy Nate Stone rescues a young woman from a burning car on a remote road—only to come under sniper fire. The woman has no memory, signs of recent captivity, and no idea why someone wants her dead. Nate places her in protective custody and gives her a name: Rose.

An attack at the hospital leaves a cop dead, and when a safe house is bombed, Nate realizes someone inside law enforcement is leaking information. With nowhere safe to turn, he takes Rose off the grid to his family’s remote farmhouse.

As they hide, fragments of Rose’s memory begin to surface—violent flashes of captivity and a connection to a man named Mitch. While Nate’s partner works to uncover the leak, Nate grows increasingly protective as the attacks close in. Nate intercepts a shooter in the woods—but it’s a setup. While he engages the threat, Rose is taken.

The truth emerges: Rose is Cassandra Marie Townsend, the sole heir to a multi-million-dollar estate. Years earlier, she witnessed the murder of her parents—a crime orchestrated by her uncle, Mitch Larsen. With her twenty-fifth birthday approaching, control of the inheritance hangs in the balance.

Drugged and pressured to sign away her inheritance, Rose fights back, refusing to give Mitch control. Nate tracks her to Mitch’s estate and rescues her before it’s too late. But it isn’t over. Nate then tracks Mitch down and, in a final confrontation, kills him—ending the threat.

With her identity restored and her past reclaimed, Nate is no longer just her protector. Their connection deepens, offering a future built on trust and healing.
