PARALLEL

PARALLEL
By Rebecca Casale

GENRE: Science Fiction, Comedy
LOGLINE:

While working as a lab janitor, failed actor Logan Po slips through a portal to a parallel universe and steals his best life as a celebrated movie star.

SYNOPSIS:

Logan Po peaked in high school, losing the girl, the lead role, and his dignity in one catastrophic opening night. Twenty years later, he's a janitor at B9 Labs, mopping floors and nursing a grudge against the universe itself. Then a rogue lab technician shows him an experimental portal to a parallel dimension... where he's a world famous action star named Logan Peaux, engaged to his lost high school love, Kat.

Po can't resist. He hatches a plan to steal Peaux's identity, his relationship, and his career, while dumping the real Peaux in a lab supply closet back in Po's world. What starts as a harmless impersonation spirals fast. Po can't act, keep his story straight, or stop sabotaging his dream life--torching a movie shoot, alienating Kat, and getting exposed as a fraud in the most humiliating way. Meanwhile, the real Peaux goes full method on an undercover spy mission, escalating from mop-based combat to actual gunfire, and accidentally melting the quantum core that's the only way home.

With the portal collapsing and a SWAT team closing in, Po has to decide what kind of person he actually wants to be, before the universe closes the door on him for good. A raunchy, high-concept comedy about identity, fame, and the myth that somewhere out there, a better version of your life is waiting...
