Dave Downs

Dave Downs is a performer and songwriter out of Middletown, Connecticut, specializing in acoustic renderings of 1930's & 40's jazz/pop songs (Fats Waller, Bing Crosby, Ink Spots, Mills Bros., Johnny Mercer, et al). His original songs are presented in a self-described style he calls, "Nouveau Croon," blending early jazz/pop influences with modern acoustic sensibilities. Several of Dave's songs have appeared in films, predominantly those of filmmakers from the New England area. Dave's his music is recorded at home utilizing an 8-track digital recorder, and he sells his home-made albums at live performances. He's also one-half of the acoustic duet, The Rusted Keys, featuring Diane Kozikowski.
