SYNOPSIS:
The Season is a dystopian drama set in a near-future America where women have been stripped of the right to work, vote, or live independently. Marriage is no longer a private institution, but a state-sanctioned necessity—one increasingly shaped by policy, media, and public spectacle. For the first time, The Season—a nationally televised marriage program—opens its doors to women who lack male guardianship. Among them is Amara, a state ward with no interest in selling a fantasy she doesn’t believe in. During her mandatory interview, Amara refuses to perform gratitude or romance. Her blunt honesty—meant to keep her invisible—has the opposite effect. Viewers respond to her authenticity, and suddenly the woman least invested in the system becomes its most compelling participant. As Amara is pulled deeper into a process she never consented to, she attracts the attention of Elias Ward, the architect of The Season, who sees in her something dangerous and useful: proof that even a skeptic can be shaped into a success story. Caught between survival and visibility, Amara must navigate a system where control is exercised through narrative—and where refusing to play the role may cost her everything.

Unique concept, Karon Paige! I don’t think you need the title of the program in your logline, and I think “puts her in danger” is vague.
