David is a professional photographer & cinematographer. He produces a range of styles from fashion, event photography and cinematic portraiture for a wide range of global clients. Such clients have included look books for Ralph Lauren, headshots for prominent actors, and press photography for the film/TV and music industries. He is a regular contributor to the press media for his film festival clients Hot Docs and Toronto International Film Festival.

David’s work as a stills photographer began with the fashion and music industry in London England over a decade ago. His love film quickly led him towards longer form cinematography. He began working in video for Fashion TV UK, filming celebrity interviews and high profile club openings. David was contracted by Mindshare International to shoot viral commercial projects for Brands such as Playstation and Canon.

After moving to Toronto, David launched a successful business in actor headshot photography. More importantly, his role visually capturing the true nature of actors allowed him to develop his passion for storytelling even further, and he stepped into the role of Directing. Over the last few years David has been the Director/Cinematographer of several promotional videos, ACTRA co-op shorts, and music videos for local Artists. In 2016, he worked as a camera operator for a fast-paced reality TV show in Montreal called Fashion Hero (Amazon Prime). Another recent example of his fieldwork is this short documentary video that he shot for The Guardian (UK) about Syrian refugees in Toronto.

David plans to continue expanding his commercial work with his passion for authentic documentary storytelling.
