About Claire

A bio, huh? Okay. My life… well, it's been a checkered experience. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Staten Island, I've lived in a lot of places from the U.S. to Southeast Asia, to Europe, to the Middle East.

I've been an actor all my life, even while working as a ballet dancer. I started studying ballet at age 19, and the limited support I received from most people ("Just enjoy it as a hobby, dear. You're too old to consider a career in ballet.") taught me never to pay attention when the odds are against me. As a result, I've had a career performing and teaching ballet, continued working in theatre, writing stories and novellas throughout.

My work-life (i.e. day jobs) has been as varied as my professional life, but we needn't discuss that here except to mention that I've been working as an audio-book director for the past four years. Best job I've ever had that wasn't actually performing! I've had rave reviews for my work in theatre. As a writer, I've created a couple of half-hour comedies, which I am now pitching with enthusiasm. An episode of "What's Cookin?'" is available for viewing on Vimeo at
Currently developing an hour long episodic "dramedy" derived from one of my novellas. Fingers crossed!
