About Kirk

Hello! I'm a Los Angeles based actor and filmmaker. I have a background in music and sound, and own a recording and post-production studio with vintage analog gear as well as digital recording and video editing capabilities. Over the years I've written several screenplays, recently did quite a bit of acting, and now branching out into directing and producing. I'm interested and meeting and working with fellow actors and film makers with a passion for good stories. Directors I admire range from Antonioni and Hitchcock to Scorsese and Lynch to Aronofsky and Nolan, but I also love a good comedy in the vein of Wilder or Allen, or even something downright heartwarming a la Capra. If it's honest on its own terms, I'm in. Let's work together!

My short film "A Singularity" (writer/producer/sound design/actor) was an official selection of nineteen festivals and won four awards. The trailer is posted here, and you can visit for more info.

My short film "Rope Trick" (writer/producer/director), a neo-noir drama starring SAF3 star Pia Lamberg and Magic Castle magicians Jackson Ridd and Steve Silverman, is in the middle of a festival run, with eighteen selections so far and six awards. I found my crew on Stage 32! Visit for more info.

I recently founded the Story to Screen Awards to fund a new screenwriter's first feature film, produced by my company Kleer Bros. Entertainment in cooperation with the Action On Film Festival.
