(This is the improvisation section from the full video of the 'Guardian Devil Monologue.' ) Actor Scott A. Vancil showcases one side of his version of Marvel Comics' Daredevil in an improvisational piece based on pieces of Daredevil comics' history of the character and the events that take place in the first issues of the Marvel Knights' line, just after the death of Karen Page. This is just before Peter Parker, as Spider-Man, comes swinging in to console his friend.

Marvel's Daredevil: Monologue 1.1 (Better Upload Version) Improv/'Guardian Devil' - Performed by Scott A. Vancil

(The monologue itself starts about 38-40 seconds in) New version of the first Daredevil Monologue in Scott A. Vancil's Daredevil showcase series! He redid the improvisation, expanding it from the first video, but kept some of the old material. A little while after Karen Page has been killed at the hands of Bullseye, Daredevil sits on a rooftop listening to the sounds of the city and thinking of his lost love, and, after a moment of solitude, Peter Parker, as Spider-man, comes swinging in, to console his friend, but Matt's soul is heavy and cynical. The first section is an improvisation, and the second part is a clipping from 'Marvel Knights Daredevil: Guardian Devil', written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by Joe Quesada. The Smith monologue itself has been edited down to be better as a shorter, stand-alone monologue for auditions, with less of the specific backstory and back-and-forth with Peter, but then expanded by the improvisational section. Used with respect. Scott plans on doing more monologues from the different emotional states of the character, probably (definitely) using some Brian Michael Bendis/Alex Maleev material. Be sure to catch the Bendis monologue he already has up. I don't know why I'm writing in the third person. Scott Vancil wrote this description.

Marvel's Daredevil: Monologue Two - Performed by Scott A. Vancil

Scott Vancil doing his second Daredevil monologue, with more to come. Fed-up and in a vengeful rage, Daredevil, on the edge of sanity, confronts Bullseye for -what could be- the last time. This monologue was written by Brian Michael Bendis as part of his run with Alex Maleev. Used with respect. Scott plans on doing more monologues from the different emotional states of the character, probably (definitely) using some more Brian Michael Bendis/Alex Maleev material.
