About Paul

Born on 16 March, Paul Solaris grew up in Alexandra Township, north of Johannesburg. Young and polite but not apologetic for his musical talents. He started producing in 2005 before he enrolled at a music school (2006) to learn the piano and more about music. In 2008 he went to study for a diploma in Sound Engineering, during that year he managed to take second place in the Axe remix competition hosted by DJU and YFM at the Southern African Music Conference, ever since that moment Paul has never looked back and had his music listed on the Hot 99 dance show hosted by Oskido on Yfm. In addition Paul Solaris was a member of the trio SugaRman PauL (Sugar, Man-K & Paul Solaris) in 2011 releasing their music with Melomania Recordings(Greece) and Dino Michael(Godfather's House). 1. Second place in the AXE/Cheese Girls Remix competition hosted by DJU, YFM and AXE at the Southern African Music Conference (SAMC) in 2008.
