Layla is a Mississippi born beauty who is a unique mix of Assyrian (Northern Iraq) and Caucasian. She claimed California as her home in 1988 and has not strayed. Layla arrived in Santa Monica, Ca. in 2012 after serving in the Military in San Diego. Layla is expected to finish her BA in broadcast journalism/sociology in 2014. Also within 1.5 years, she is already SAG eligible. Amazingly, Layla has the ability to accomplish many goals in addition to raising her son among other responsibilities. Her goal is to become a successful consistently working actress and an even better journalist. Her motto in life is "There is nothing in this world that I can't do, even if I was dead I still strive to accomplish my goals."
Layla has many diverse life experiences she brings to the fields of film and journalism. Furthermore, she has this unique capability to draw upon certain emotions and experiences in order to connect with her character. Most importantly, she has the gift to adapt to any situation, whether in real life or in her work. Some call her versatile, some call her intimidating. Nonetheless, she utilizes a broad spectrum of characteristics, which sets her apart.
Masterfully trained, Layla studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, Brain Reese Acting Studios and will be attending Groundlings for improv training. Also, Layla belongs to a number of professional journalist associations. The most important element to remember about this remarkable woman; there is never a day where Layla chooses to give 100%, instead she ALWAYS gives more.
