At the turn of the 19th century, a mysterious scoundrel offers his assistance to an Amish woman he happens upon, pulling her horseless cart through rural Pennsylvania.

SYNOPSIS:

A lone rider with a sinister edge happens upon an Amish woman pulling a horseless cart along a dirt road.

Given each has one part of a carriage, the man offers his horse to assist the woman on her journey to the next town. The woman reluctantly agrees after much thought and the pair set off towards the next trace of civilization.

As their journey progresses, the rider shows a darker side at an increasing clip, one that would foreshadow the likely doom of the Amish woman...if she is who she appears to be.

HAUL is a relatively contained period thriller that plays out like UNFORGIVEN meets THE USUAL SUSPECTS. There are current plans to expand this short into a feature length project.
