About Anna

Anna received an Emmy ® Nomination for her latest film, Take My Heart, in the Outstanding Daytime Fiction Program. She wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Peter Sands and their company, VisionFire Films. The film was a festival favorite at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals such as the MIcheaux FF, LA Shorts and Pan African FF. Anna is also the recipient of the BAFTA/LA Best Film & Screenplay Award at their member's festival for 'Chasing Chekhov’, shot in Prague .
Anna was hired by Motherhorse films to direct her first film, a coming of age story, 'The Aerial Girl’. The film screened at 40 Film Festivals worldwide and won 6 Awards; 4 Nominations. Such as: Cinequest; Rochester International FF; Milan; Sonoma; NYCIFF; Lone Star FF; Courts Métrage, Festival De Cannes; La Femme FF; Lady Filmmakers. It thrice aired on PBS.
Other award winning films Anna wrote and were produced by her company: 'Coming Into Money', 'The Red Scarf’.
Wrote/directed the dark comedy, ‘Finding Momma’. Noms: NYC International FF; Best Short Film at Garden State FF.
Recently Anna wrote and starred in the timely TV concept pilot: 'The Day Before’, (El Otro Dia) shot in english and spanish.
LATEST 2020: Anna wrote and directed TAKE MY HEART. Part of VisionFire Film's TV series concept and also a stand alone short. The film stars Emmy Award winner Kim Estes and the extraordinary Joy Sunday, with formidable talent Roy Williams Jr; Lana Danielyan and a cameo by Marisilda Garcia.
In February/March 2020, Anna co-starred in two movies: the feature film ACRYLIC and the made for TV movie: A ROYAL CHRISTMAS ENGAGEMENT (shot in NY).
Anna is attached to two feature fims to direct: Summer Wine, a European dramedy and Aerial Girl, a female centric western to be shot in New Mexico.
