WEE
By Rick Blackwell

GENRE: Sci-fi, Action
LOGLINE:

They came from another world, offering the gift of immortality; all they ask in return is to use our bodies for 4 hours every night.

SYNOPSIS:

In an alternate reality, we have already made first contact. They came down to earth, offering one of their own as a subject for experimentation. They wanted us to know the benefits of having them crawl around in our heads. Our military was the first to recognize the potential of an almost indestructible army. Among the Wee's many talents, healing was the most impressive. As long as you could find the pieces, Wee could put you back together. All they asked for in return for these amazing gifts was 4 hours every night to do whatever they wanted with our bodies. Millions signed up right away, wanting the instant benefits but giving little regard to what they might be doing with their bodies. Those who allowed the creature into their heads became Wee. Thinking they could control them by eliminating the hive, the military leadership started a bloody war that lasted three years and cost more than two million human lives. The end result was poverty and suffering for free humans, forced to trade their children for money in order to survive. The Wee tried to make it look like they were doing the children a favor by giving them the best of everything until the consenting age of 16, and that's when the brain rat was able to take over. The Wee controls everything, and to get a piece of it, you must become the Wee. Those who resisted became outcasts, treated less than desirable. One of those is detective Mac Burney, a former resistance fighter and hero of the Battle of Ohio. Both the Wee and humans love him. A unique case he is working on could change the balance of power and bring the Wee to their knees.
