About John

John began studying Theatre Arts in earnest at UC San Diego, where he acquired his B.A. in Dramatic Arts and Communications.

Graduating in 1984, John moved to the San Francisco Bay area to work as a Theraputic Foster Parent for neglected and abused children. During that time John produced and directed a number of projects, including music videos for The Bobs and The Fabulous Spud Brothers. John performed in the local theatre circuits, culminating in several roles at the Marin Shakespeare Festival.

John moved to Los Angeles in 1992. Along with roles in DAYS OF OUR LIVES and numerous commercials, John eventually wrote, produced, directed and co-starred - along with BABY DRIVER’s, C.J. Jones - in his award-winning short, THE RIDE.

In 2003, John moved his family to Brussels to educate their children in the Belgian Francophone system. In 2007 John founded the Flanders Acting Studio, which ran for 12 years as one of the prime English language acting studios in Europe, helping numerous actors find their careers in London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona and Los Angeles. He also furthered his career as an actor, performing in over 200 feature films, television series, commercials and voice-over projects.

In 2017 John moved back to Los Angeles and is now developing a feature film based on a true story about the last several years of Orson Welles's life in 1980's Hollywood.
