About Michael

Michael A. Matteo is an award winning, optioned and produced playwright and screenwriter. He has written books, stage plays, screenplays and TV series. His first produced screenplay was Descansos, which featured Gary Busey, Tom Nowicki, and Charles Durning. His last produced feature, 3 Times A Charm, has appeared on Encore and STARZ in the US, as well as on other TV station all over the world. His stage play, An Evening with Mr. Johnson, has been done in several states throughout the U.S. and it is published by Original Works Publishing. He has written 4 published books, over 30 full length feature screenplays, 10 stage plays of varying lengths, and hundreds of short scripts (The Limbo Kings was a short produced in 2014; it won 3 Telly Awards). His latest book, The People Diet, (Motivational Press) is available through Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com. He lived in Tampa for almost 30 years before taking a job in China in 2013. Currently he lives and is the ESL Director for an International School in China.
