I've written a variety of screenplays, ranging from literary adaptations to a satire of supernatural thrillers. I've directed two of my original scripts for Dagtype Films, the production company I founded with my producing partner, Steven P. Neilson. Our second film, a romantic comedy short called "Oh Crappy Day," will have its world premiere on Saturday, March 21, at the Garden State Film Festival in Atlantic City. Currently, I'm writing the script for a mockumentary that alternates between the 1970s and the present day.
Unique traits: I have a strong background in literature as well as film, having earned a PhD. in English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I'm also the author of "Flannery O'Connor and Cold War Culture," published by Cambridge University Press.
