Rosanna Foss

Rosanna Foss is an actress, musician, ice skater, gymnast, equestrian, fencer, humanitarian and an all-around entertainer. At the age of two, she appeared on an episode of “ Raising Hope” where Director Eyal Gordin approached Rosanna's mother and mentioned how talented she was. She was taking Swimming classes since she was 6 months old, starting to Read by the time she was 9 month old, and Ice Skating at 2. This was followed by Piano, Russian School, Horseback Riding, Ballroom Dancing, Gymnastics, Karate, and Roller Skating at the age of four. At 6, Rosanna was Snorkeling, Parasailing and most recently, Fencing and Saxophone. Rosanna is passionate about refining all of her talents and loves to learn. As a matter of fact, school is one of her most favorite places to be. She loves math, reading, and writing. She also loves to play with her friends or make new ones, whether they are on the beach or creating new games together.

As a humanitarian, in her young life, Rosanna's heart has always been invested in helping others and animals. At age 6, she celebrated Labor Day by giving a concert to Senior Citizens at the Rehabilitation Center of Beverly Hills. On that day Rosanna was invited to make a national appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, but since it conflicted with a Labor Day appearance at a Rehabilitation Center, Rosanna kept her word, saying that "if you promise something, you gotta keep your promise" - a testament to her upbringing and her core, Rosanna is adamant about following through on her word. Meeting Jimmy Kimmel was not far off however, as she recently appeared with him on "THINK IT UP "a special prime time 9/11 telethon to raise money for children's education, she personally donated $100.00 from the money she made by working on P&G Global Campaign "Always #Unstoppable LikeAGirl". She knows how important education is for the future of our country.

In the summer of 2014, after watching Annie several times, Rosanna approached her mother to make 100 dresses before Christmas. Yes, that's correct, Rosanna wanted to sew dresses for orphans - herself! With training from her dress-designer mom, Rosanna fulfilled her promise and completed the dresses, often giving up playtime, snack time and canceling 5 after school classes to make the deadline. Rosanna personally donated 50 dresses to Union Rescue Mission and 50 dresses to Alexandria's House/ Shelter for battered women and children. She appeared on the front page of the Daily Breeze newspaper as a Hero Philanthropist and was interviewed by the CEO of Union Rescue Mission Andy Bales on his Radio Show "Amazing Stories From Skid Row". She was surprised and honored at the same time when Assemblyman David Hadley awarded her with a Certificate of Recognition from California Legislature Assembly for her selflessness, thoughtfulness, and determination for hand making the dresses for the homeless children. In addition, the Mayor Of Manhattan Beach presented Rosanna with"I Heart Manhattan Beach Commendation" Award for Outstanding Community Service in April 2015, saying that Rosanna is the youngest in the history of Manhattan Beach to receive this award. This was followed by the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Award in recognition for her outstanding volunteer efforts and contributions within the community.

"100 Dresses for Christmas" was made into a Short/Documentary Film and accepted into The Manhattan Film Festival in New York in June 2015; Williamsburg International Film Festival in September 2015; and received An Honorable Mention Laurel Wreath at Santa Monica Independent SaMo Indie Fest 2015.

Rosanna’s volunteer efforts continue. In the summer of 2015, she made 100 pouches for orphan baby Kangaroos on her mom's sewing machine, and mailed them to Australia. Rosanna started her 2015 Christmas Collection "Support A Good Cause" by hand making two bathrobes one for a boy and one for a girl and donated them to the Silent auction to raise money for her Pennekamp School. We bought those two bathrobes because she showcased them at Manhattan Beach Old Hometown Fair Art Exhibition where she was awarded with A First Place Blue Ribbon. This year she's hand making bathrobes for boys and girls at Los Angeles Children Hospital. Her kindness is not limited to community involvement; she has a team spirit. When she started at Pennekamp School, on her first day, the teacher recognized Rosanna's efforts to get the boys and girls to play together.

Rosanna's favorite colors are gold, white, and pink. Her favorite foods are Russian raviolis, SAMSA (meat pie), and milk. And she adores her precious rescue cats Smokie, Tiggy, Roxy, and Phoebe. Always an achiever, with over 25 medals and trophies, she is a collector of over 150 hats, and says that one of these days she plans to sell them all on ebay.


On Thanksgiving weekend, 2015, Rosanna will take her disciplines to the next level when she will appear in Carnegie Hall as a Finalist of the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition 2015 performing the piano solo "Fur Elise" The Original.
