VS ELECTRONIC DANCE
By Gabrielle Holloway

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE: Detroit freestyle street dancers challenge trained studio choreography dancers to a battle audition for the chance to be the backup dancers for an up and coming artist for an electronic music festival.

SYNOPSIS:

Toni Byrd hung up her split sole sneakers reluctantly for a 9-5 at a Detroit Marketing firm. Fulfilling her late father's wishes, Toni learns after two years that she is project lead. A promotion that is protested by a few frenemy co-workers. Toni and her promotions team must find uniquely qualified dancers for a popular annual electronic music festival under the watchful eye of a snarky L.A. socialite, Liza Hamilton. The project is threatened by street dancers who claim the dance styles and the city as their turf. Adding fuel to Liza's fire to take the account and move it to another major city. Liza's lack in faith for the urban turn around in Detroit.and the clap back from Jon-Jon, a street dancer who will pull out all stops to demand respect to be seen and heard doesn't make it any better for Toni.
